I then worked as a Research Associate at North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine researching behavior and olfaction in military working dogs. I subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences from Auburn University, studying cognitive development and early predictors of success in detection dogs. Following my PhD I completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship with Auburn University's Canine Performance Sciences program in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
